This suspension contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA), a naturally occurring bile acid used to improve liver function and bile flow. It reduces the production and absorption of cholesterol, thereby helping in the dissolution of cholesterol gallstones and preventing their formation.
UDCA also protects liver cells from toxic bile acids, improves bile secretion, and reduces liver enzyme levels, making it effective in various hepatobiliary disorders. The liquid formulation ensures better compliance, especially in pediatric and geriatric patients.

Mechanism

Ursodeoxycholic Acid
Reduces cholesterol saturation in bile, enhances bile flow, and protects hepatocytes by replacing toxic bile acids with less toxic hydrophilic bile acids. It also improves liver enzyme levels and reduces inflammation in liver tissues.
